About Dave Diegelman
Dave first started his photographic journey in a home darkroom while attending junior high in Menlo Park CA and then throughout his high school years where he also became intrigued with rock climbing in Yosemite. Shortly after high school he became a member of Yosemite's search and rescue team and combined his passions of climbing and photography. His work was soon sought after by numerous magazines, books and corporate promotional materials including, Outside, Rock & Ice, Climbing, Mountain, Men's Journal magazines as well as corporate work with R.E.I., W.L. Gore, Sierra Designs, The North Face, Lowe Alpine Systems, and 3M. His work can also be seen in Valley Uprising (Sender Films) and David Lama (Red Bull Media) films as well as Yosemite Climber (George Meyers), Jim Bridwell Défonce verticale : Confessions d'une légende de l'escalade (Jim Bridwell), Hooking Up Peter Zabrok) and The American Alpine Journal books.
In 2007 Dave moved to Southern Utah and continued to capture landscape images of the Desert Southwest and soon private and corporate collectors started collecting his work where he combines his real estate business (UtDreamHomes.com) and his art. He lives with his wife of 38 years, Cristina, and often visits his two sons Justin and Jonnie respectively living in Portland OR and Melbourne FL.
