Canaan Mountains Zion National Park was a scene that I had seen many times driving to or from Zion. Wild rosehip bushes bare their red stems while the Cottonwood trees take on the first green buds prior to foliage. Winter light in it's diffused glory meanders through the clouds while the jagged peaks of the Canaan Mountains pierce the sky. It's pretty magical at this time of year if you know when and where to look.
Technically this was an interesting image to make in early 2008. I was captured in 8 images and stitched together to create a very high resolution image worthy of the details. Iso 64, f/8 @ 1/250 sec. Sadly this area has been built upon and this scene is no longer there.
