Temple Spines Zion National Park was created one evening during August monsoons. My wife and I were sitting at our home near Zion after dinner and I could see an opening of blue sky to the West which usually casts incredible light at sunset which was only a half-hour away. Prior to that it had been stormy and grey all day. I immediately invited my wife to hastily dash off to one of the nearby mesas in hopes of capturing the anticipated light. I captured one image prior to this one but as you can see the lighting was almost gone. This is a focus stack comprised of four images blended together to achieve the depth of field on a Nikon Z-7 with Nikor 24-70 s lens at 70mm.
