Artist's Description
Cannon Beach, Oregon is a magical place. Elation. The November waves were relentlessly attacking the shoreline. It was one of those days where communication was non-existent over the roar. My models for the excursion were my granddaughter and visiting exchange student Leoni, pictured here running through the shallows. I couldn't have possibly evoked the kind of elation that these young women were experiencing with God's magnificent backdrop and working with my new Nikon Z7 paired with the Nikor 80-200s lens was a dream. The challenge of a huge dynamic range meant something had to fall to the shadows and in this case the subjects became a silhouette while the mist in the background provided a ghostly light for the sea stacks.
